Friendly down home place, food was delicious! The sweet potato waffle not on the menu ????????, not what I expected but on point in flavor didn't need any syrup, fried shrimp were cleaned well and great tasting, biscuit was great, the gravy was not the best or texture.. but overall a great dining experience!

Food was soooooo good! We had the grits bowl with shrimp and bacon, catfish platter with grits and eggs, shrimp basket with mac and cheese and yams, and the big breakfast that came with chicken wings, waffle, grits, and eggs. The shrimp and grits bowl was BOMB! The chicken wings were seasoned just right to compliment the waffle, the shrimp were seasoned to perfection, they had REAL catfish, and the grits were a great texture. We loved everything but if we had to pick something at the bottom it would be the yams. They were just a little too sweet for my mom but if that's your thing then you would probably love them! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I live in Seattle and I come here frequently for business. I always make it a point to come to Gritz because the food is delicious and the service is amazing. Today there was a little misunderstanding with a to go order the owner personally came out, talked to me and found me and my daughter table to eat in, I appreciate her and I will definitely be back because of her amazing customer service. If you’re in vegas you definitely need to check out the best black owned breakfast spot in the city. Much love, Kj

I have been here twice. We had about 5 people in our party both times. The service was great! We didn't have to wait too long. They have a great system for that. The food was exceptional! Both times, I had the same dish. The fried catfish, whole fried wings, greens, yams, and cornbread is to die for!The portions were always more than enough! Leftovers for a couple of days ????! The dining area is small but worth the wait. This is now one of my favorite places ❤️ and the prices are very reasonable. The staff was very friendly. I'm hungry right now, just thinking about the food!

While on vacation from South Florida on my birthday this place was highly recommended. I had the catfish with grits and sweet potato waffles. Everything was delicious!! The staff was friendly and attentive. They refused to let me leave without singing happy birthday to me. I will definitely be back.

They serve the best fried catfish! And the Waffles are on point! And the grits... don't even get me started on the grits, bomb!

The food, service, and music were phenomenal! I had the catfish and sweet potato waffle and my husband had chicken and butter pecan waffle. The portions are huge and the food is cooked fresh to order. Please don’t go into these peoples restaurant thinking your food is going to come out fast. It’s not. It’s going to come out HOT and FRESH! I had hot fish mouth trying to eat ???? but it was well worth it!

I was hankering for a big breakfast so I swung by Gritz Cafe and it definitely hit the spot. I arrived just before 9, and was promptly seated. Good thing I arrived when I did because the place was swamped by 9:20! My order was piping how and seasoned to perfection. My served recommended the toasted croissant, which was a great companion to my mean. My ionly issue was that my eyes were bigger than my stomach, so I had to take some food home with me. Oh, and the itis!

7.6.2024 Simply MARVELOUS ! the fried Cat fish is light and fluffy, to die for . The Collard greens were good too as was the grits, I prefer the grits wen they're cooked with the cheese instead of sprinkled on top after but everything was delivered piping hot from the kitchen so it was a simple thing to stir in the cheese before they cooled off . I also had the massive "BUBBA BURGER" ~ this is available in beef or turkey, I said 'what the hell I'm on vacation' and chose the beef, no regrets ~ properly cooked and assembled, NO RIVER OF GREASE LEAKING OUT yet *just* enough fat to make the killer taste your uncle used to make in the backyard BBQ . Squeaky clean bathrooms well stocked with soap and towels . Friendly help Tymisha and Trina Miles, they came by every few minutes and asked if we needed anything more, topped up our drinks with alacrity . Plenty of off street parking plus curbside out front, the take out counter is separate from the snug dining room so no hassles from others coming and going .
